Overshove vs Poker Income

Updated October 2026 · by Tom Howcroft

Poker Income is an established iPhone and iPad tracker with detailed cash and tournament records, player notes, a live timer, bankroll withdrawals and tab-separated export. Overshove offers a newer web route centred on session economics; deeper review is in development. Existing Poker Income users should protect the export before debating features.

Why might an existing user stay?

A mature history is an asset. Poker Income's listing covers cash games, tournaments, game format, stake, location, time, profit and notes. It also lists a timer with break tracking and rebuys, bankroll and withdrawal management, charts, opponent records and a tab-separated export. A player who uses those fields consistently may already have the evidence needed for decisions.

The switching question should begin with data safety. Run the export now, open it in a spreadsheet and confirm that dates, sessions, hours and results are present. Test any cloud backup route on the current device. Do that before assuming a newer interface is worth disturbing a working ledger.

What does Overshove add?

Overshove puts entered session costs into the result path. Use those fields only for additional expenses not already reflected in buy-ins and cash-outs; stack-paid tips and fees must not be deducted twice. Marked hands, leak tags, player reads and study entries are in development. The web app works across current phone and desktop browsers.

It gives up parts of Poker Income's listing. Overshove is not a graphical live HUD and does not claim automatic opponent statistics from complete live hand histories. The planned reads notebook is a manual review aid. If the detailed opponent workflow is the feature you use most, test that trade before moving.

How can you migrate without losing the sample?

Export Poker Income into its tab-separated format and keep an untouched copy. Convert a working copy to CSV if needed, then import a small group of sessions. Compare row count, total profit, hours and several known dates. Map withdrawals as cash movements rather than poker losses. Keep unsupported historical costs blank rather than estimating them.

Run both tools for a few weeks. If the totals match and Overshove's cost-aware hourly helps your review, continue the migration. If the established workflow remains better, keep Poker Income and retain the fresh export. Portability makes this a test rather than a one-way bet.
