How to delete your Overshove account and data
You can ask Overshove to delete your account and the personal data covered by your right to erasure at any time. Start in Account settings or email support@overshove.com if the in-app option does not work. This page explains what the live account deletion covers, what may need to be kept, how long a request takes and the current backup position.
How do you delete your Overshove account?
Sign in, open Account settings, choose Delete account and confirm. The request is tied to the account currently signed in, so it cannot be used to delete another person’s account. If the option is unavailable or does not complete, email support@overshove.com from the address on your Overshove account.
What data does Overshove delete?
The live account deletion covers your sessions, bankroll history, player notes, study log, profile and authentication account where the right to erasure applies. Connected services are reviewed separately because the available controls and legal duties differ. We confirm the outcome of the request, including anything kept and why. We do not claim that one in-app action automatically erases every provider copy.
What happens to backups?
Overshove does not currently have a qualified production recovery backup. That means there is no verified backup overwrite timetable or tested restore process to promise here. If production backups are introduced, their retention, access, restore and re-erasure controls must be documented and tested before this page makes claims about them.
Should you export your data first?
Yes, if you might want the record later. The account export gives you a machine-readable copy of the data covered by the export. Once the live account deletion has completed, that account can no longer retrieve the deleted session history, hand notes, player reads or bankroll figures.
Can you request deletion by email?
Yes. If you cannot use the in-app option, email support@overshove.com from the address on your Overshove account. We will assess the request and confirm the outcome. If we reasonably doubt your identity, we may ask only for the reasonable and proportionate information needed to verify it before acting.
How long does account deletion take?
We normally respond to a deletion or other rights request within one month of receiving it. We extend the deadline or refuse a request only where the law allows, and we explain why. If you requested deletion by email, we send confirmation to your account address when the deletion is complete.
What might Overshove keep after deletion?
A deletion request does not override records that the law requires or permits us to keep. That can include a limited payment, tax, suppression or privacy-request record. We minimise what is kept, remove account links that are no longer needed and explain the reason in the response to your request.
What can you do if you disagree?
Email support@overshove.com to make a privacy complaint. We will acknowledge it within 30 days, investigate without undue delay, keep you informed if the investigation continues and explain the outcome. If our answer does not resolve the issue, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or to your local supervisory authority.
