Overshove vs PokerBase

PokerBase is a mature, all-in-one tracker: cash and tournaments, multiple bankrolls, staking packages with live backer updates, and a social layer with public profiles and messaging, shipping on both app stores today. Overshove is narrower and younger: a live web session and bankroll tracker for live cash. If you stake or get staked, or want a polished native app now, PokerBase likely wins. Overshove or PokerBase: which fits your game?

PokerBase and Overshove are aimed at different jobs. PokerBase, per its public App Store and Google Play listings checked in July 2026, is a mature all-in-one tracker: cash and tournaments, multiple bankrolls, staking packages with live backer updates, and a social layer with public profiles and messaging, shipping as a native app on both stores today. If you sell or buy action, or you want a polished native app you can install right now, PokerBase is the better answer and this page will not argue otherwise.

Overshove is narrower and younger, a live web tracker for live cash at app.overshove.com, usable in phone and desktop browsers. Its centre of gravity is the loop after the session: the cost-aware hourly and bankroll view; confidence bands, leak tags and private player reads are in development. Staking is not currently available in Overshove.

Two different centres of gravity

PokerBase calls itself a poker life manager, and the label is earned. The bankroll is treated as a financial object: multiple bankrolls and casino balances, staking packages that push automatic real-time updates to your backers, receipt scanning, and PDF report exports built for tax time. Around that sits a social layer that most trackers do not attempt: public profiles, friend feeds with reactions and comments, hand sharing, and direct messaging (added November 2025). There is a worldwide tournament calendar that syncs to your phone. Its site claims 30,000 plus users, its own figure, and the US App Store listing showed 4.9 out of 5 from 161 ratings at our July 2026 check.

Overshove currently centres on the session and bankroll record. Log a live session in seconds, then study what the log says. The hourly after additional recorded costs. Variance interpretation, leak tracking, player reads and a coach export are in development.

Both track results competently. The split is what each one does with the session after you rack up: PokerBase turns it into accounts and updates for other people, Overshove turns it into study material for you.

Where PokerBase is the better pick

If you sell or buy action, stop reading and use PokerBase. Staking packages with automatic backer updates are its core competence, and Overshove does not currently support that job. Staking, swaps and combined money are planned for Overshove's Elite tier at launch, which means today the honest answer is a red cell.

The same goes for the social layer. If posting live updates mid-session, following friends and sharing hands is part of why you play, PokerBase built for you and Overshove deliberately did not: the Overshove default is private by design, on the view that your results are study material first.

PokerBase has native apps on both stores today; Overshove has an Android app on Google Play and a web app for phone and desktop browsers. And the accounting: receipt scanning plus PDF reports for taxes is a real workflow for full-time players that Overshove does not replicate, though Elite's tax records and exports are aimed at the same job at launch.

What each one costs

Prices move, so treat this table as a snapshot: UK App Store, July 2026. PokerBase runs a free tier plus two paid subscriptions, Pro and Elite. What exactly each PokerBase tier gates is not itemised on its public pages, so trial the free tier before paying for either.

Overshove's core tracker is free with no card. After useful value, the only paid offer is Founder: one GBP 79 payment for 730 days, with no automatic renewal, 20 places and a 14-day full refund.

The review loop, in money

Use a synthetic £1/£2 player with 80 five-hour sessions, 400 table hours. Assume £800 of dealer tips was paid from the stack; it is already included in cash-outs minus all buy-ins. Additional travel of £10 per session, paid separately and not in that result, totals £800: £2 per table hour, or 1 BB/hr. Deducting tips again would incorrectly double the additional expense to £1,600. Cost breakdowns explain the result; extra travel time changes a separately labelled trip-hourly denominator, not profit.

The study side compounds it. A tagged leak worth 1 BB/hr, say flatting river raises without the price, costs the same player £800 a year until it is found and drilled. The loop is: mark the hands that felt wrong at the table, tag the leak in review, drill it, and watch whether the tag keeps costing you. And when the graph turns down, the variance read answers the hard question: is this stretch running bad or playing bad. None of that requires abandoning PokerBase's strengths. It is simply a different job, and it is the whole of Overshove's job.

Migration, or running both

Getting your history out of PokerBase is the thing to check first. Its documented exports are PDF reports built for taxes; Excel and Google Sheets appear on its site as import sources, not export targets, and no public page mentioned CSV export at our July 2026 check. If the version you run can produce a spreadsheet-readable file, test a small import through Overshove's visible session spreadsheet import control, then reconcile totals before planning a full move. If it genuinely only exports PDF, price in either manual re-entry of the history you care about or a clean start with the sample beginning today.

Running both is legitimate. Keep PokerBase for staking packages, backer updates and the social feed; log the same sessions in Overshove for the cost-aware hourly and bankroll view. Overshove exports CSV at every tier, so nothing you enter is locked in, and the free core costs nothing while you decide.

Who should not switch

Stay with PokerBase if any of these is true: you run staking action in either direction, your backers expect the live updates, the social layer is part of the fun, you need a native app from the store today, or the receipts-to-tax-report pipeline is doing real work for you. Those are its genuine strengths and Overshove does not currently match them.

Be equally honest about Overshove's side. It is live on Google Play for Android and at app.overshove.com for phone and desktop browsers; there is no iOS app yet. It is not a HUD, not a solver, gives no in-hand advice, and no tracker moves your win rate by itself. The live tracker is most useful if you record costs consistently. If what you want is bankroll admin plus a poker social network, PokerBase already is that, and switching would buy you nothing.
