Why the record starts with complete sessions

Tom’s routine is to record the session within five minutes of finishing. He starts with the money in, money out and time, then adds the detail he wants to review. That keeps logging separate from playing and reduces reliance on memory later. Recording losing sessions matters as much as recording winning ones: a selective log gives a selective picture.

The current Sessions and Stats areas let you review the entries you have saved and follow the resulting bankroll record. A short run of wins or losses does not establish your true win rate. Variance intelligence and the study workflow are marked coming soon in the app.

The export step matters because a poker sample is hard to rebuild. The current Account area offers session CSV and bankroll export. It also offers session spreadsheet and bankroll import, but old-tracker compatibility and full migration fidelity have not been independently verified. Keep the source file and check imported records.

Start with the essentials, then add detail

In the founder interview, Tom described simplifying session entry after feedback from less experienced players. The app’s Advanced button reveals additional fields such as Seat, Tips and Expenses. Optional fields do not need invented values. Enter timing when you want a meaningful hourly result, and check how each saved entry is counted.

The app subtracts entered Tips and Expenses when calculating net. Do not enter the same cost as an additional deduction if it is already reflected in your cash-out. The worked expense example explains table profit, additional costs and the separate question of travel time.
