Responsible play
Overshove exists to help serious players understand their game with honest numbers, including the downswings. Poker carries real financial risk, and variance means even winning players lose for long stretches.
Play within your means
Only play with money set aside as a bankroll, separate from living expenses. Bankroll management and stop-loss discipline exist to protect you; use them. If poker stops being a positive part of your life, step away. A session tracker is not a reason to keep playing when the right decision is to leave.
Honest about variance
We never promise profit. Our variance and confidence tools are designed to show the truth, including how deep a normal downswing runs, so you can make sober decisions rather than chase losses. A confidence band can be uncomfortable; that is the point. It keeps a short run from becoming a story.
Warning signs
Pause and get help if you are playing with rent, bills or borrowed money, hiding sessions from people close to you, chasing losses, moving up to win it back, or ignoring a stop-loss you set while calm. Those are not bankroll leaks. They are harm signals, and the right next action is support, not another session.
