About

Built by a live player who got tired of not knowing.

Overshove exists because every live cash tracker stored results and none of them answered the only question that matters during a downswing: is my edge real, or am I just running bad?

Overshove is a live cash poker tracker built to answer whether a player's edge is real or the sample is simply short. Logging is fast enough to complete at the table, because the sessions most likely to go missing are the long losing ones, and a record that only holds good nights flatters whoever reads it. The hourly is a true one, calculated after rake context, dealer tips and travel, so it reflects what poker actually pays rather than what the ledger says. A win rate arrives with a confidence band instead of being presented as proof. Around that record sits the review loop: a study log, a notebook of reads on the players you see every week, and a daily readiness check. Overshove is built for review away from the table, so it is not a HUD, not a solver and not in-hand advice. Live cash comes first, on the web and Windows, with mobile planned.

Who builds it
Tom Howcroft, founder of Overshove

Tom Howcroft

Overshove is built by Tom Howcroft, a live cash player who logs every one of his own sessions in the app. The first version existed for one reason: mid-downswing, he wanted a straight answer on whether the edge was real or the sample was just short.

He builds software products for a living. Overshove is the one he built for himself first, and it stays shaped by players logging real sessions.

What we hold to

Numbers first, then the read

Lead with the figure, then the plain-English meaning. The app is a tool, not a coach with a personality.

Honest about variance

We state downswings plainly and never promise a win rate. A confidence band beats false certainty.

Not a HUD, not a solver

Overshove is built for review away from the table. It tells you what happened and where the leaks are.
