Poker odds calculator

Compare fixed hands before or after the flop. This poker equity calculator shows each player's win, tie and equity share, with optional board and dead cards. Use it to review Texas Hold'em hands away from the table. Free in your browser, with no account or download.

Two to six players. Enter every hole card: 2 for Hold'em or short deck; 4, 5 or 6 for the matching Omaha game. Cards: As Kh Td 2c. Duplicate cards are rejected.

All legal runouts are enumerated up to 15,000 boards. Larger jobs use a repeatable simulation. Omaha always uses exactly two hole cards plus three board cards. Short deck uses 6 to ace; A6789 is its lowest straight, and trips remain below a straight. Other short-deck house rules are not supported.

Enter your values, then calculate.

Calculate a hand

  1. Choose your game from the Game menu. Texas Hold'em is the default.
  2. Enter each player's complete hole cards in Player hands, with a separate line for each player.
  3. Add any known Board cards and Dead cards. The tool rejects duplicate cards.
  4. Choose Simulation samples and a Random seed for repeatable simulated results.
  5. Run the calculation. Compare each player's win, tie and equity share.

Win, tie and equity

Win is the chance of winning outright. Tie is the chance of sharing the pot. Equity includes your share of tied pots, so it differs from outright win probability.

The tool counts every legal runout when the remaining board space is small enough. Larger jobs use simulation. The same inputs, sample setting and seed reproduce the simulated answer. Simulation estimates equity; counting every runout gives the exact result for the entered cards.

Common hands, exact equity

Pocket aces have 81.26% equity against the specified kings. Each row uses the exact cards shown. These examples count every legal board; the interactive tool can use simulation for larger jobs.

Equity and pot odds

For outright win odds against, divide the remaining percentage by the win percentage. Equity is different: it includes shared pots.

Compare equity with the price of a call using the pot odds calculator. This comparison alone does not decide a hand, especially when betting remains. The poker cheat sheet puts draw probabilities and pot odds side by side.

Outs shortcuts and exact equity

Outs shortcuts estimate the chance of hitting a draw. They do not measure equity against a specific hand. A draw can complete and still lose; your current hand can also win without improving. Enter the actual hole cards and board to calculate their combined effect.

Questions

Is this a free poker hand calculator?

Yes. It runs in your browser with no account or download. Enter fixed hole cards and any known board or dead cards to compare win, tie and equity shares.

Are the results exact or simulated?

Small enough board spaces are counted in full. Larger jobs use simulation, including preflop spots with many possible boards. The worked examples on this page were counted in full. A repeatable simulation can still differ from the exact result.

Can I enter ranges instead of specific hands?

This tool requires complete, fixed hands. Use the Hold'em range equity calculator to compare ranges.

Does it support games beyond Texas Hold'em?

Yes. The Game menu also includes Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo and short deck. Choose the correct variant before entering cards. In the short-deck option, a flush beats a full house.

Does equity tell me whether to call?

Equity describes your share of the pot across possible runouts against the entered hands. It does not recommend a bet, infer ranges, include fold equity or account for rake. Future betting also changes the decision.

Can I use it during a hand?

Use it for study away from the table. Follow your poker site's or card room's rules on outside assistance. The tool provides no in-hand advice.
