What does this result mean?
A poker stop-loss calculator converts a session limit in buy-ins into the cash loss at which you have already decided to leave. It does not claim that stopping after a fixed loss improves the mathematics of the next hand. Its job is behavioural: protect decision quality when fatigue, tilt or the urge to recover losses begins to change how you play. Choose the buy-in size for the game and a limit you will actually honour, then set the rule before the session begins. The result should sit inside your bankroll plan and can be tightened when sleep, focus or game conditions are poor. A stop-loss is not a substitute for leaving earlier when your decisions deteriorate, and reaching it does not prove the game was bad. It simply removes an emotional negotiation at the point where that negotiation is least trustworthy.
